Contest Schedule

Register online at the ACM Regional Contest web site by October 15, 2007.

If you must register after October 15, 2007, a late fee of $50 (US) per team will be charged. This fee must be paid to the director of the site at which you compete.

Before November 3, 2007, contact the director of the site at which your team will participate to obtain any site-specific information and a pre/post contest activity schedule.

Contest Day (November 3, 2007) Activities

9:00 AM - 10:30 AM ARRIVAL AND CHECK-IN
Teams arrive and report to the site director.
10:30 AM - 12:15 AM CONTESTANTS' MEETING
Site Director meets with the teams to review the rules and discuss site specific policies. Ideally a simple sample problem will be posed, and teams will have an opportunity to submit solutions to the sample problem for judging during this time.  Teams have from the end of their meeting until 12:15 PM for lunch.
10:30 AM - 12:15 AM JUDGES' MEETING
Site Head Judge meets with the team coaches who serve as judges. Contest problems are opened and discussed, and judging duties are determined. Lunch for the judges is also included in this time period.
12:15 PM - 12:30 PM CONTEST STATIONS
Teams reports to the contest area and judges report to the judging center. Sealed contest questions and necessary contest materials are distributed to the teams.
12:30 PM CONTEST BEGINS
Contestants open the contest question packets, boot up their machines, and begin.
5:15 PM 15-MINUTE WARNING
All contestants are notified that the contest will end in 15 minutes.
5:30 PM CONTEST ENDS
Final judging requests must have arrived prior to 5:30 PM. Site results are tabulated by the judges.
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM REGIONAL RESULTS
Regional Contest Director collects final site results and tabulates the contest result. Sites are informed of the regional contest results as soon as they are known. Regional results remain unofficial until they are verified by the Regional Head Judge and any appeals have been decided.
